The Most Addicting Cookie

This might be my favorite cookie ever. It has it all: peanut butter, chocolate, and oats. And its super duper easy.

I am a recipe follower, exact ingredient type girl. So, I get most of my recipes from Allrecipes, read the reviews, and tweak them to my liking. I have the app on my phone, I use it almost every day. It lets you search by ingredient, course, food type, etc. And users get to rate recipes so you know you are picking a winner if you get a 4 or 5 star one. The reviews are also really helpful because they're written by people who have tried the recipe. This recipe is tweaked from a couple different recipes I found.

1 stick unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup all purpose flour

3/4 cup white sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup peanut butter

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup oats (I've used quick-oats and old fashioned, both are good)

1 cup chocolate chip (I like milk chocolate but semi-sweet is fine, too)

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. Mix butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and peanut butter until smooth.

  3. Add vanilla and egg until smooth

  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda

  5. Add flour mixture to peanut butter mixture until smooth

  6. Mix in oats and chocolate chips

  7. Drop teaspoon sized balls onto baking sheet (I line mine with parchment paper)

  8. Bake for 8-10 mins, until edges are golden

That's it! Piece of cake, orrrr cookie.
